Christmas Ornaments

This weekend has not been that successful on the sewing front. I participated in my first Christmas Ornament Stitch-A-Long. I was able to finish one complete ornament, but due to sweaty hands and a bad headache I was not able to do terribly much more.

Here is a photo of the Amish quilt. As you can see, I have made some more progress and it is starting to show it's colours. DH is doing really well and can already notice the difference with how much better he can breathe through his nose, despite it being a little stuffed up, otherwise, there is little else to report.

Hopefully I will get a whole lot more stitching done this week. Fingers crossed!

That's a lovely ornament. SAL's are great aren't they. I love the colours in the Amish quilt. What is it going to look like when it's finished? Do you have a link?

Hi Suzanne - I'm sorry to hear about your DH and glad to hear that he is feeling a lot better. I haven't been near a computer for over a week as unfortunately my Mum passed away last Thursday. We have had a horrendous time with the hospital system (private) trying to get her looked after properly. I don't have to say anymore as you know what I mean. All I can say is thank god for Calvary Hospital where she was treated with love and respect. Her funeral was yesterday and I only got home last night.

Your Christmas ornaments are lovely and your Amish Quilt should be beautiful when it is finished. - Sandra.

I'd love to get the pattern for those Christmas decorations. I give my children a Christmas decoration each every year and something like that would be perfect. Do the patterns come from a book or did you design them?

As a quilter I can truly appreciate your Amish piece and look forward to seeing it once complete.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Suzanne, Yes I am going ok but still have those moments. I suppose I will for quite awhile.
Yes that sampler has hardanger in it. I love doing it. It also has alot of other drawn thread stitches in it. Its a Cross n Patch design. I have done a few of them although I only have one of them in my house. I have given all the others away unfortunately. They are really beautiful.
When you come up to Karens see if Victoria magazine has come in yet. Hopefully it will be in this week. It is the most beautiful mag. you have ever seen. I used to buy it when it was around before. I still have about 13 years of it and I still enjoy looking at them. Karen has it on her website and I think when it comes in it will be $11 and will be bi-monthly.
By the way aren't the Jacarandas beautiful around Penrith and Sydney at the moment. Love the way they leave a blue carpet, Glad you liked the link - Sandra.
