I heard from Becky this morning that she received the needlebook I stitched her for the Love Of Needlework needlebook exchange through the Friends Through Threads blog. I love this form of finishing and it's a real lot of fun. I used the same principle as the stitcher's book, but stitched a few less pages for the different needle gauges. This time, to stiffen the pages, I used extra stiff interfacing which I ironed onto one side of the batting. It gave the book the strength to stand up, but made it easy enough to insert the needles into each page.

You have finish it perfectly. Congrats!
Suzanne, I am crazy for this needlebook! What a great idea to stitch also the needles size on the pages! And the extra stiff interfacing gives it the perfect strenght to stand up, that is great! Congratulations, I love it...I think I will try and stitch one like it for myself!

It's wonderful, Suzanne. I love all the little details in it, the sewing machine charme, the needle pages inside for the different sizes, the colour, just everything.

Wow! What a fabulous finish. You do the best exchange pieces!
What an absolutely wonderful needlebook. I love your beautiful finishes and the personal touch of that little sewing machine. Congratulations on an exceptional job.

Hi Suzanne,
My goodness you are getting good with this type of stitching. It is beautiful. It is always nice to have lovely stitching things and I am sure that Becky loved this when she received.
What an awful day. I had to drive to Emu Plains this morning after taking my son to school so that my DH could catch an earlier train. On the way back it started to rain and I had to continually put the washer of th wipers on to get rid of all the mud that the dust went into with the rain.
It is also cold up here today. I am even thinking about lighting my fire.
If you are coming up to your LNS tomorrow, don't as it will be closed. K's Aunt passed away and her funeral is on tomorrow. - Sandra.
This is great! It looks complicated to me!
Just catching up with your blog, your new laundry sure looks fab x
