Exchanges, WIPs and Starts

My first finish this month was for Cathy for the Stitch Red Exchange on the Friends Through Thread blog.

Design: A Trifle For A Friend (freebie)
Designer: Plum Street Samplers
Fabric: 28ct Cashel linen - Ecru
Thread: Gentle Arts Sampler Thread - Raspberry Parfait stitched over one
Finish: Pinkeep

The next finish was for Ellen for the Santa Exchange on the Hooked On Exchanging blog.

Design: From Old World Santas II
Designer: The Prairie Schooler
Fabric: 28ct Cashel linen - Ecru
Thread: DMC
Finish: Christmas Ornament

I have also been working hard on Hannah Lancaster by The Porcupine Collection again. I really wanted to knock over that house, but even after two weeks of stitching, I am not quite done. Perhaps tonight may finally see it done. Ellen of With My Needle fame is also stitching Hannah. Ellen has done more in a few months than I have done in two years. Sadly I just don't get the time to stitch as I used to.

I also made a start on the Birds Of A Feather Friendship Sampler. I haven't got too far on it, because I have been concentrating on Hannah.

Finally I have Christmas at Hawk Run Hollow all ready and kitted up to stitch. I found that I had most of the NPS in my stash and I am now only missing four threads. I have more than enough to make a good start and the rest I can get when I get a chance. I have chosen 40ct Antique Cotton by R&R Reproductions because I have a cut in the exact size I need for this piece and I think it should look quite good on this piece of fabric. Now all I need is a little time to get started!

Don't you just love it when you have most of what you need in your stash. It doesn't happen very often. Just love all your stitching updates

HI Suzanne, your blog is relatively new to me, so I don't think I've commented before. Your work on Hannah Lancaster is beautiful! I started Hannah years ago but never finished. I've been following her progress on a couple of other blogs, so I guess it's time to bring her back out. Thanks for the inspiration. All of your work is beautiful!

Ooooh, where to start! I love what you stitched for Cathy! Over one too! Beautiful! The Santa is really cute!

Hanna is coming along. She is so big so you're doing well. Your start on the Friendship Sampler is great - you will enjoy those colours!

There's not enough time in the day, is there?!!!

Hi Suzanne, beautiful pieces for your exchanges. I am sure that the girls were thrilled to receive them.

Hannah is looking lovely and I am sure that considering the time that you have to spend on her, that she won't take long to finish. Great start on the BOAF Friendship Sampler. Looking forward to seeing this one come together and you are so lucky to have nearly all of the silks for your CAHRH. - Sandra.

Beautiful finishes and beautiful projects. I just love, love your Hannah. I need to pull that chart out and look at it again, but that house certainly does look like a monster. You've picked some wonderful other projects to work on as well.

Your stitching and finishes are truly lovely, Suzanne! I actually quit stitching for 10 years when my kids were younger--I just had not time at all, so I think you're doing great. Enjoy CatHRH--I stitched it two years ago, but still don't have it framed...

Hannah is looking great too! I find it amazing that you have any time to stitch at all. I quit stitching for many years when my children were young.
I'm looking forward to your CaHRH start. It will be lovely with the silks!

Beautiful stitching, Suzanne! I am in awe of your progress on Hannah. I actually did a double take because you've gotten so much done, and with little kids to care for. You go girl! Your exchange pieces look great.

Your Hannah Lancaster is coming along beautifully. Yes, I know I'm getting mine done faster than you are yours, but I'm at a different point in my life.
