It's the rain that never ends and it goes on and on my friend.......

Well from my very long title, you can see that we have had rain and more rain. On Friday night the Warragamba Dam reached capacity and started to spill out into the river. By yesterday afternoon the river peaked at a very minor flood height. It was a spectacle with people lining the banks and creating traffic issues in an otherwise very quite neighbourhood. People were even stopping on the bridge on the motorway to have a look. There may be more rain on the way later this month, so the potential for more flooding is a real possibility. Here are a few photos my DH took.

I sure hope you and yours are safe and away from the flooding. With the flooding we had last year, I freak out just thinking about it. Keep safe -- tell that flooding to go away!

It is simply amazing how much rain we have had lately. Thankfully the sun is out up here today, something we haven't seen much of this summer. Just looked on the radar and there is more coming. It is incredible that 75% of New South Wales has been flood affected over the last few days. The Weather Bureau is saying that the flooded area is the size of France. That is a lot of water.

Mother Nature must be menopausal - too much here....not enough there....temper tantrums....violent outbursts. Sure hope she calms down soon.

Yikes!! I hope everybody stays safe. I never thought much about flood damage and the havoc that rain can cause until watching the devastation here a few years ago. I know Australia had it on a much worse scale. Hope all is well!
