UFO Exchange

Things are starting to get back to normal. I am back to the usual routine and all the chores are back on track. I have been spending each evening stitching, so the universe is back in harmony. My next project is to tackle all the blogs I read and return the comments you have all been leaving on my blog, but one step at a time.

I have been cleaning up my craft room today and have come by a very old UFO that has been hiding in the corner. It's a design by Paula Vaughan and it's called Summer Breeze. You can see and image here.

It's being stitched on 14ct Aida and I am about 1/4 of the way through. I was wondering if there is anyone else out there who has a similarly old UFO that they would like to swap for about 2 months. We could spend a couple of hours each week on them and then swap back at the end of the two months and see how far we have come along.

To make postage easier and cheaper, I am looking at only designs stitched in DMC which are easily and readily available, so that we don't need to send the thread to each other as well.

If you are interested please email me.

Friends Through Thread exchange received

I recently participated in the the Friends Through Thread friendship exchange and this is the beautiful piece that Marie stitched for me. Isn't it just the cutest little scissor pocket. As I said to Marie, I have a love of all colours autumn like, so this suits me perfectly and I also have a little pair of stork scissors that sit comfortably inside. Thank you again Marie, you chose a great design and finished it off perfectly.

I sent my piece out the other day, so hopefully I will be able to share some photos in the coming week. I am really pleased with what I made, it worked out so much better than I expected.

Missing in action for a long time

It's been quite some time since I last posted, I think two months in all. I can't say I have been doing too much apart from tending to sick children. For the last two months I don't think we have gone for more than three or four days between being well to catching something else. It has been a roller coaster of coughs, colds and the flu for all three children and my husband. Over Easter the kids were so sick with the flu they didn't even want to go on an Easter egg hunt in the lounge room.

Needless to say, my stitching has taken a back seat and I haven't even read any blogs for quite some time. I feel so disconnected from everything. I am currently working on an exchange, but all the momentum I had at the beginning of the year with my stitching has come to a grinding halt.

I am hoping that things will get back to normal this month, because I so need to connect back with all you great bloggers out there and get back into that stitching groove.
