Mary Glover Sampler

You may all remember back last year when everyone was stitching Mary Glover in the SAL, well so was I, but I never did finish. Felix came along and then I got stuck on the huge rice stitch motif and (insert some more excuses).

I am happy to present Mary Glover finished and complete in all her glory. In hindsight I have to say that I actually enjoyed stitching her and even the rice stitch motif wasn't so bad when I followed the pattern correctly. I just love the colours and the pretty verse. Thank you so much Emmanuelle for sharing this beautiful sampler with us.

Great to see your post Suzanne.
Such a lovely finish, congrats!

Me too hasn't been much on blogs, visiting or updating mine, just tooooo hectic with work specially. No energy left for stitching at all so not much to share.
Hope you are all having a good week.

Beautiful finish! It's lovely and I really love that rice stitch section. It's a stitch I've never tried before but the effect is beautiful!

I adore samplers!
Your work is lovely. I think you get alot done with a little one in tow.
I've been working on Marianne Wenn for some time now, hope to get her done someday soon. I have had the pleasure of concentrating on making grandbaby gifts, which slowed my progress.
Where do you like to get your sampler patterns?
Linda

Suzanne, your Mary Glover is gorgeous!! I'm laughing at your comments because guess where I stopped? At the rice stitch. Because I went off and did my own thing. I should know that is the kiss of death for me. I need to rip out what I stitched and get it finished because it is such a pretty sampler, and Emmanuelle was so generous in sharing it. Congrats on your finish! And for sticking with it and getting it done, popping out a new baby, caring for two little girls, etc. It puts me to shame! LOL
